Graduate Opportunity
Be a part of the summer harvest team at Kalyx
Want industry experience? Or just enjoy working outdoors in a team?
Each year, we invite enthusiastic graduates and students to join our dynamic team as casual workers, supporting our agronomists and field staff in harvesting trial sites nationwide.
No prior experience? No problem. We’ll provide you with the training needed to be a key part of our harvest team. With so many different positions available we will have the one for you!
To be eligible for a casual position you will need to:
- Be available to work from Sept/Oct for WA/NNSW/QLD and early to mid-Nov for SNSW/SA/VIC
- Be able to commit for 4-6 weeks work (weather dependent)
- Be an Australian citizen or hold a valid work visa
- Be capable and willing to work in an outdoor team environment over summer; and
- Be reliable and have a great attitude
Roles
Harvest Operator
Enjoy working with machinery? Those who have farm or practical experience could take on the role of driving and operating our small plot harvesters.
Weigh Station Assistant
Enjoy working with a team? Each site is set up with a weigh station. All harvesters will drop off their buckets for weighing and labelling before sending the data off to our clients.
Grain Analysis
Prefer something indoors? Many of our clients require a sample analysis of their grain – this is all completed within our in-house labs.

This is the perfect opportunity to earn good money while enjoying the outdoors, and gain valuable work experience from our agronomists and field teams
We are currently hiring in the following locations:
QLD: Toowoomba and Goondiwindi
NSW: Narrabri, Young, Corowa, Griffith, and Wagga Wagga
VIC: Horsham
SA: Naracoorte and Adelaide
WA: Beverley and Esperance
Travel may be required – meals and accommodation will be compensated.
Dates: Start from mid Sept to Mid Nov for up to 6 weeks
Competitive hourly rate: $28 – $38 per hour, depending on suitability and experience.
