Following the endless pursuit of quality and in line with the tight labour markets that our businesses are all faced with at present, Kalyx have introduced some new initiatives for 2023 aimed at attracting and retaining only the best staff to work on our client’s research programs.
Our trial quality can only ever be as good as the people that spend their time in the field. With this in mind we conducted an internal staff survey late last year to find out what would make Kalyx a better place to work. As you’d expect some good feedback was received and it has resulted in some new initiatives that were rolled out at our recent Season Launch.
Just some of the changes for staff at Kalyx this year include;
- A new flexible approach to working to better reflect the reality that in Agriculture the weather and the seasons are a little unpredictable.
- The launch of an industry leading Paid Parental Leave Policy to make it easier for both primary and secondary caregivers to have a family and then return to work when and how it suits them.
- Introduction of a further education and training policy to encourage staff to expand their skills and interests for the long term benefit of our people and our company.
- Allowance for time to get involved and help our rural communities where our staff are based.
When it all comes together we know these little things can make a big difference to the quality of our team and the quality of our research.
